Is it just us, or does it sneak up on you too?
Bonfire Night (Guy Fawkes night) may fall on the same day each year (5th Of November) but itâs easy to forget itâs coming up.

Which is why we decided to put together a list of Indoor and Outdoor Ideas to show you how to host a super fun and festive bonfire night party â for all weather events!

Confetti is a MUST HAVE for most celebrations but a confetti gun is a whole other level!
Not only is this a great option if you need to host your bonfire night event indoors without fireworks but this will be a BIG hit with your younger guests.
Donât miss out on adding colour to your celebrations this year with this super fun addition!
2. Glow Stick Fun

Glow sticks are so much fun!
Hand them to your guests as they arrive.
Organising bonfire night games? Use the glow stick bracelets to know which colour team everyone is on!
A wonderful bonfire night entertainment idea for kids for the different glow stick kits to keep them entertained and they make for some great photo opportunities too with all the family.
They are also great as everyone can take them home at the end of your November 5th celebrations.
3. Bubble Machine

Arenât bubbles more of a summer thing? We donât think so!
Another great option for indoor bonfire night entertainment â bubble machines or bubble blowers are something of wonder for little ones.
Set a bubble machine up in a room or if the weather is mild enough set one up in your outdoor space â to bring some magic to your bonfire night festivities!
4. Scavenger Hunt

If fireworks have to be called off because of bad weather or you are only hosting your bonfire night celebration indoors this year â then this option works for you too!
Organise a treasure or scavenger hunt in your space using one of these amazing games.
Whether you set this up outside or indoors â you can arrange this for the ages that you have attending.
You can also set the difficulty of the hunt to keep them entertained for longer.
Donât forget a prize for the winners!
5. Indoor Sparklers

You and your guests do not need to miss out on all the sparkler fun this bonfire night gathering.
Even if you are hosting indoors these sparklers are suitable for both indoor and outdoor enjoyment!
*please exercise caution when using sparklers indoors or outdoors and check the packaging on any sparklers purchased, following safety instructions as listed on the packet. For the full disclaimer click here.
TIP: Donât forget to have a bucket of cold water ready for the used sparklers.
6. Sparkler Cupcakes

We love the idea of handing everyone a cupcake, with a sparkler candle in the top, at your bonfire night event this year!
Itâs a different way to experience the sparklers and when it finishes burning everyone has a cake to eat once the sparkle runs out.
Get everyone grouped together for a photo opportunity with their sparkler cupcakes to remember this yearâs Guy Fawkes night party!
7. Hot Chocolate Explosions

If you and your guests canât experience the delight of the fireworks exploding in the night sky this year â why not have an explosion of flavour instead with delicious hot chocolate bombs in a mug of warm milk!
Top with rainbow sprinkles for a fireworks night inspired version of this winter classic.
8. Sâmores

We see no harm in adopting this American campfire treat on this yearâs November 5th event.
Gather the above ingredients into a flat dish (like the image) and invite your guests to join you for sâmores by the fire orâŚ.the microwave haha.
We found this straightforward way to achieve Sâmores even without a cosy fire pit in your garden.
9. Colorful Fibre Optic Wands

Have vibrant fiber optic wands at your bonfire night gathering this year to bring more light and colour to the festivities!
These are bound to keep young guests entertained throughout the eveningâs celebrations.
If youâre hosting bonfire night games this year â allocate a fiber optic wand per each teamâs colour and they could raise it when they have the answer.
10. Fire Pit

If youâre fortunate enough to have an outside space to host in this year, then make the most of it with a cosy fire pit for you and your guests!
We love the stone option for its modern feel, the fire basket for smaller spaces (trust us the baskets are just as effective â weâve used them) and the more traditional fire pit for toasting marshmallows.
*please exercise caution when using fire pits outdoors and check the packaging on any purchased, following safety instructions as listed on the packet. For the full disclaimer click here.
Bonfire party without a garden or patio? We havenât forgotten you â take a look at idea number 12 below!
11. Multicolored Smoke Fountains

Smoke fountains are a super fun and festive addition to your family bonfire night party!
These are definitely for the outdoors only â letâs not smoke out your guests!
Set this up at a safe distance (according to the packaging ), turn up the music and enjoy!
You can always view the fountains from the comfort of indoors if preferred.
*please exercise caution when using smoke fountains outdoors and check the packaging on any purchased, following safety instructions as listed on the packet. For the full disclaimer click here.
12. TV Bonfire

As promised the alternative to a bonfire or fire pit when you are hosting an indoor bonfire night gathering â a TV bonfire!
While it isnât going to give off any warmth this will bring the cosy effect to your fireworks party.
Set this up using this YouTube link on your TV for your guests to enjoy.
